Fiona Apple, one of the many artists that has shaped my taste in music. She truly is an artist, with creative videos, intelligent lyrics, and a "fuck you, I'll do it how I want" attitude. Staying true to herself, she doesn't let the people that sign her checks dictate how her songs should sound. Tell me where you can find that kind of genuineness in an artist today. Her lyrics speak to me in any mood. Her pain is evident and her experiences bountiful, making me feel like I'm not such a freak after all. With a discography loaded with numerous original songs to her name, all which are tasteful to say the least, she truly is a phenomenal woman. Thank you Ms. Apple.
