as of yesterday, i completed four years of undergrad study. i took the last final i will ever take on that campus. i took my last stroll from PS4 to Hepner Hall, glanced over at the turtle pond one last time, and surprisingly did not run into any sorority girls which made this last tuesday an amalgamation of joy and melancholy.
i doubt that i made a lasting impression upon this school and i am slightly sure that the converse of this statement is also true.
all i can compare this to is a pregnancy (although i've never been through that).. but you spend all this time preparing for this one occasion in which all your relatives come together to celebrate your achievement. but instead of a baby, you deliver a diploma. this pregnancy has taken its toll on me but, the bitter taste left in my mouth is fading now. time to make something out of this baby, i mean diploma.
