thinking

undeveloped thoughts are just as valuable as a piece of coal is compared to a diamond.

once again, i place blame on the internet and social networking websites for the narcissism ever so prevalent in today's society. we are encouraged to post what used to be personal things- like inner thoughts, secrets, desires, slutty pictures, and premeditated plans and share these things with utter strangers.

i am not saying i am not guilty of doing such things. this blog is the epitome of what i'm talking about. the only difference is the anonymity that i have chosen to establish by not stating my real name, posting my picture, or sharing this website with anyone i know (unless there was something i wanted them to see at one point, or if they asked). i also never share my true, true, TRUE feelings on here because they are much too much personal. instead i write from a satirical point of view, as sort of a defense mechanism, as well as a way to entertain myself as i plough through bundles of seemingly boring thoughts.

but anyways, my point was intended to be that..
a) no one really cares about your monotonous life (with a few exceptions, ie. stalkers)
b) posting pictures of every little thing is not only obnoxious, but makes you look like a braggart
c) as a society, we should stop spending so much damn time on the internet
d) communicating through unspoken words is impersonal and sometimes just inappropriate depending on the situation
e) MTV has ruined the phrase "the situation"
