Billie Holiday's rendition of It Had To Be You

Lady Day has to be my favorite artist of all time. Her voice is unmistakably drenched with passion and her version of this song is by far the best that I have ever come across. The hopeless romantic hidden in the depths of my soul cannot deny the beauty and ubiquity of these lyrics. Even if you have never been in love before, this song makes you want to meet someone that can make you feel glad just to be sad thinking of them. And once you've met that person and they fit the criteria of the song, it becomes that much more endearing.
