why did the chicken cross the road?
to get to the "other side."
i never understood the point of this joke until today, when i read my friend's post about it, explaining that the other side did not mean the other side of the street but the other side of life.. or beyond. now this joke hardly seems appropriate for school age children. we probably shouldn't encourage them to commit suicide to get beyond this life. or should we?? a new form of eugenics?
